He is survived by: his brother Wayne Dean; his children, Jack "JD" Dean (Becky) of Lynchburg, VA and Karen Waldron (Matt) of Dandridge, TN; his siblings, Janice Snider (Sam) of Pulaski, VA, Diane Justice of Richlands, VA, Lucy Barnett, Jeffery "Jeff" Dean of Cliffield, VA and Joseph; his sister-in-law Kathy Dean; and his grandchildren, Alexandria, Tristan and Damon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
