As Horace departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Horace may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Horace leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Samples Raines; his daughter Mary Ellen Raines; his parents, Dexter M. Raines and Helen Gorrell Raines; and his brothers, JC and Randy Raines.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Mantooth (Tim); and his sister Caroline Ford. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
