He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Geneva McCarter; his sisters, Debra Ann McCarter and Angela Ruth McCarter; his father Earl J. McCarter of White Pine; his children, John Paul McCarter of Dandridge and Abagail Elizabeth McCarter of Dandridge; and his siblings, Jimmy Dale McCarter and Susan Elane Trentham (Wayne). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
