He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Carter and Grace Carter; his stepmother Juanita Carter; and his stepbrother Wayne Hall. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carter; his daughter Jodi Coman (Jason); his grandchildren, Grace and Parker; his daughter Mitzi Elms (Brian); his grandchildren, Macey Eaton, Savanna and Tanner; and his siblings, Jeanie Spears, Betsy Phillips (John), Glenda Stidham (Roger), Genia Frazier, Robin Fields (Ricky), Glen Carter (Glenda), Mike Hall (Judy) and Jimmy Carter (Missy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
