He is survived by: his wife Martha; his daughter Michele Mahurin; his grandson Kyle Burdette (Mollie); his great grandchildren, Mary and Lizzie; and his siblings, Larry (Judy), Gary (Nancy) and Judy Dhokai (Mahesh).

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Swannsylvania Baptist Church (921 Swannsylvania Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions could be made to WMU or the Food Pantry at Swannsylvania Baptist church in lieu of flowers.
