He was predeceased by: his parents, Houk Mason and Samantha Mason (Strange); his wife Deloris Mason; his grandsons, Nick Mason and Brad Mason; and his siblings, Evaudna Cate, Ruby Rainwater, Edna Caton, Dutch Mason, Perry Mason and Jack Mason.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Melvin Whitt, Chip (Jessie Mason) and Tim Mason; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Sidra Whitt, Robby, Kayla McMahan, Amy, Eddie Dilbeck, Courtney Mason, Isaiah Mason, Derek Mason, Trey and Shelby Mason; and his great grandchildren, Kali, Tanner, Jacob, Justin, Maci, Madi, Josie, Sophie, Olivia, Emma, Neyland, Oaklee, Islah, Keilea and Madilynn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
