She was predeceased by: her husband Stergal Bailey; her parents, Elmer Owenby and Mamie Owenby; her siblings, Faris Austin and Gordon Owenby; and her grandson Mitchell Bailey.

She is survived by: her children, John (Lucy) and Faris Morgan; her sister Gwen Smith (Larry); and her grandchildren, Melissa Williams (Joe), Noel Norton and Brayden Lay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
