He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Thompson Sr. and Opal Sutton Thompson (Connie Thompson); his granddaughter Chrystal Ward; and his sister Jean Tillman. He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Stacy (Shannon) and Patricia Rush (Sheila); his stepchildren, Tammy LeJune (Dana) and Mark Forbes (Louella); his grandchildren, Hannah, Kristina and Logan; and his brother Richard Thompson (Judy). He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren.
