She was predeceased by: her parents, James and Ruth; her husband Bill Akins; her son Eddie "Dubby" Akins; her grandson Matt McCurdy; her children-in-law, Andy McCurdy and Lisa Akins; her granddaughter Emily Scrabatz; and her great grandchild Alana Kate Young.
She is survived by: her close friend Mas; her children, Gary Akins (Raini), Pam Halliday (Larry) and Mike Akins; and her grandchildren, Christi Holt, Tammy Sanchez, Brandon McCurdy, Dalton Akins, Mollie Young, Ashley Turner, Amber Akins and Dane Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations to her church or a charity in honor of Mama's name would be more beneficial to someone.
