He was predeceased by: his parents, Luretha Lorene Bishop Rye and Leamon Herbert Rye. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Clark Rye; his brother Deck Rye; his children, Eddie Ewell Rye, Shirley Elaine Rye Lynn, Bonnie Brake Rye and Ralph Lynn Jr.; his grandchildren, Tammy Rye Howell, Rafalea Lynn Powers, Beth Rye and Ralph Lynn IV; and his siblings, Bobbie Carson, Jane Albright (Morrison), Soula Stinson and Shelby Rye. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Tennessee Farmers CO-OP and a member of Charity Lodge 370, and a Shriner.
