He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Penrod and Vera Penrod; his former wife Shirley Penrod; and his siblings, Shelby DeArmond, Billy Joe Penrod, Coy Hugh Penrod, Darrell Penrod, Geraldine Gilliam, Judy Clark, Gayla Phillips, Brenda Hogan, Jan Green and Shirley Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Penrod; and his children, Barry Lee Penrod, Chad Lee Penrod, Justin Matthew Penrod and Amber Kathleen Reasonover. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
