He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Webb Riley and Robbie Lee Eakes Riley; his son Herbert Walter Riley; and his siblings, Wyona Anderson, Linda Stanfill and Walter W. Riley, Jr..

He is survived by: his daughter Linda Carol Lovell (Steven) of Columbia; his brother Wayne Riley (Donna); and his grandchild Allison Carol Clark (Austin Harber). He is also survived by many nephews and great nephews.
