She was predeceased by: her parent Abner Jewell; her son Kenneth Akers; her brother Lowell Jewell; her stepchildren, Phillip Akers, Suzanne Ricabonno, Jerrie Collett and Janice Cina; and also Virgil Akers.
She is survived by: her parent Martha Denton Jewell; her son Keith Akers (Vivkey) of Culleoka; her siblings, Donnie Coomer and Anna Lee Moore; and her stepsister Sandra Coomer Spencer. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
