It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Elaine McCartt Cates of Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Pleas, Annie McCartt, Sam and Mamie Rayder; her parents, James Edward McCartt and Mary Rayder McCartt Sheldon; and her siblings, Glenn Sheldon, Charles Sheldon, Annita Sheldon, Kathy Bunch and Sandra Sheldon.
She is survived by: her close friend Larry Ladd; her son Charles Edward Cates (Tammy); and her grandsons, Shawn Cates and Jeremy Cates. She is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.
