He is survived by: his sisters, Pansy Tate, Nona Slack, Elna Jacks, Mildred Barger, Edith Griffith and Elsie Stewart; his wife Geneva McCormick Potter; his sons, Jim (Yvonne Potter) and John (Lynn Potter); his sisters, Audrey Stewart of Franklin and Lorene Gomez of Ingleside; his grandchildren, James Potter (Leila) of Raleigh, Alyssa Graves (Ryan) of Denver, Shannon Collop (John) of Tampa, Melissa Potter of Columbus and Cyndi Potter of Mt. Prospect; and his great grandchildren, Lewis Potter, Eliot Potter, Caedmon, Emma and Nora Collop.
