He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Watkins and Virginia Watkins (Hill); his wife Marzee; his son Wade; and his sister Shirley Sisco.

He is survived by: his children, Lynn Lane (Richard), Scott and Brian; and his sister Nancy Hunter.
