He was predeceased by: his parents, Kalle Kilponen and Sima Kilponen; and his sister Lillian Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Donna Kilponen; his children, Gary, Karl, Bill and Debra Phillips; and his sister Lucille Chittum. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
