He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Staab and Violet Staab (Rummel); his former wife Betty Emily Staab (Burns); and his sister Marilyn Martin. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Folusiak (Thomas), Nancy Moakley (Charles), Mary Beth Komnick (Thomas) and Peter Staab (Donna); and his son-in-law Gary Bartunek (Mary). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
