It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Madonna Mitter of Crossville, Tennessee, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Smith and Mary Smith; her sons, Jimmy Mitter and Brian Mitter; and her siblings, Tom Smith and Diane Downey.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Mitter; her daughter Kathy Chapin; her son-in-law Paul; her son Michael Mitter; her daughter-in-law Paula; and her sisters, Geri Adams and Joan Leduc.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (151 St Alphonsus Way, Crossville, TN 38555).
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the church for the new playground.
