We bid farewell to Lewis Eugene Tyler of Crossville, Tennessee, born in Bath, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 21, 2024 at the age of 73. Lewis Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo F. Tyler and Betty M. Groves Tyler; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Tyler and Mary Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Linda Tyler of Crossville, TN; his sons, Michael L. Tyler of Haddon Township and Kevin E. Tyler (Alicia) of Lindley; his siblings, James Tyler of Beaver Dams, Gerald Tyler (Robin) of Fulton, Kenneth Tyler (Cindy) of Lindley, Gary Tyler of Rocky Point and Shirley Lechnowsky (Walter) of Crossville, TN; his grandchildren, Makenzie Fusco (Shawn), Landon Slager, Abigail Tyler, Bailey Tyler, Hayden Slager, Elena Tyler, Sebastian Tyler and Chase Tyler; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Paisley and Carsen Fusco; his niece Leanna Pitcock; his nephew Jason Lechnowsky; and his pets, Chewy and Annie. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Hood Funeral Home (2371 US-127, Crossville, TN 38555). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the John Sevier East Tn State Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Wounded Warrior Foundation, or Samaritans Purse in his honor.
