He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Garrison and Laura Pippin Garrison; his wife Bobbie Jean Garrison; his son Christopher Carey Garrison; and his siblings, WJ Garrison, Kenneth Garrison, William Garrison, Bernice Hughes and Diane Bolin.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Garrison (Heather) of Crossville, TN and Bobbie Jo Herman (Kelly) of Crossville, TN; his brothers, Dillon Garrison (Ellen) of Crossville, TN and Jerry Thomas Garrison (Thresea) of Crossville, TN; and his grandchildren, Bethany Garrison, Carey Garrison, Christopher Patrick Garrison, Alyssa Jo Herman and Lance Herman.
