It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larue Helen Mathena of Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orion Owen Shorter and Elsie Price Shorter; her husband Robert Earl Mathena; her daughter Debra K. Childers; and her sisters, Edith Stalnaker and Willie Mae Shorter Bowman.
She is survived by: her children, Deitra Hinkle (Terry Hinkle) and Ricky Mathena (Patty Mathena); and her son-in-law Mitchell Childers. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
