It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John H. Short of Crossville, Tennessee, born in Hondo, Texas, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Short and Inez Heinen Short; and his stepmother Evelyn "Snuffie" Short. He is survived by: his wife Lisa A. Short of Crossville, TN; his children, Lori Ann Thuener of Ohio, Phillip Ray Short (Linda) of Ohio, Cheri Lynne Wiseman (Mike) of Ohio and Karen Louise Shanks (Kyle) of Cookeville, TN; and his sisters, Sue Ann Jacoby of Texas and Thelma "Tess" Stiner of Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
However, the family would like to express their gratitude for all the prayers and condolences received and respectfully asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John's honor to a charity of your choice.
