He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Wilmoth Denson and Ova Ellis Denson; and his siblings, Leon Denson, John Denson, Lonzo Denson, Wilmoth Denson, Katherine Haney, Lucille Horn, Ozetta Brown, Betty Thompson, Wanda Dulworth and Barbara Moss.
He is survived by: his children, Betheney Speck, Blake Speck and Phyllicia Speck; his siblings, Joe Denson, Roger Denson, David Denson and Edwina Tayse; and his granddaughter Luna Speck.
