She was predeceased by: her parents, David Atherstone and Eleanor Atherstone; and her sister Lea Miller. She is survived by: her husband Dudley Johnston; her brother Dan Atherstone; her children, Jeanette Carpenter (Doug, Jr.), Thomas Johnston and Matthew Johnston (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Douglas Carpenter III (Hannah), Jared Carpenter (Emily), Zachary Carpenter (Kelli), Lori McClung (Javan), Isabella Johnston and Maggie Johnston. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
