It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Littleton Mercer of Crossville, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Woodard Mercer and Dorothy Aline Mercer (Ethridge); his son Miles Woodard Mercer (Woody); his granddaughter Brenda Dales Holder; his brother John Ernest Mercer; and his stepmother Jewell Tant Mercer.
He is survived by: his friend Guy Phillips; his close friend Bill Taylor; his brothers, Turner and Stone of Crossville; his son Woody (Howard); his wife Frieda Barber Mercer; his children, Howard Littleton Mercer, Jr. (Sharion), Manda Mercer (Mandy) and Melissa Mercer Cain (Missy); and his daughter-in-law Jelene George Mercer. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
