He is survived by: his wife Sharon Chafont Doney of Crossville, TN; his children, Catherine Hunt (Dustin) of Gordonsville, TN, Robert Sterling of McMinnville, TN and Aaron Sterling (Emily) of Pleasant Shade, TN; and his brothers, James Patrick Doney of Defeated, TN and Wade Doney of Kempville, TN.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
