He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kerley and Arva Selby Kerley; his wife Mary Pauline Kerley; his son Donnie Kerley; his grandsons, Steven Kerley and Brent Swallows; and his siblings, Oscar Kerley, Carl Kerley, Theodore Kerley, Dora Wood, Lilly Davis, Malinda Brown, Pinah Tanner and Ida Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Kerley, Dallas Kerley and Karen Reed.
