We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2023, at the age of 82, Ervie Charles Alford Melton of Crossville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Archie Melton; his wife Patricia Sue Smith; his children, Jackie Melton Griswold, Barbie Melton Cokkinias and Chuck Melton; his mother Hazel Melton Swallows; his son Charles Wayne Melton (Chuck); his sister-in-law Helen Melton; his brother Donald R. Melton; his son-in-law Tim Cokkinias; his grandchildren, Justin R. Griswold (Ashleigh), Jessica Clark (Trey), Tessa Cokkinias and Tiffany Cokkinias; and his great grandchild Annagrace Sue Clark. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Charles became bedridden with Lewy Body Dementia in March of 2020 just as Covid was beginning.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Cumberland County Hospice and Cumberland House.
