He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Westervelt and Elizabeth Warmke Westervelt; his daughter Jennifer Anne Gunter; and his siblings, James Peter Westervelt and Betty Westervelt.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Westervelt; his children, Benjamin Randall Westervelt (Fawn), Adam Brian Westervelt (Liza) and Christina Marie Westervelt; his son-in-law Fred Gunter; and his brother William George Westervelt (Laura Lee Smith). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
