He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Pelfrey and Lucy Ann Carter Pelfrey; and his siblings, Lester, Esker Pelfrey and Selma Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Pelfrey of Crossville, TN; his son Allen Pelfrey (Tina) of Ft. Myers, FL; his grandmothers, Norma Pelfrey of Crossville, TN, Nora Davis (Heath) of Crossville, TN and Dawn Pelfrey of Crossville, TN; his sister Wilma Brown (Roy) of Crossville, TN; and his grandchildren, Desmond, Amanda, Brittney, Christeena, Dennis of Ashley, PJ, Giselle, Angel, Bernadette, Chad, Chelsea, Chandra, Bailey, Bella, Krystal, Ashtyn, Braxton, Johnnie and Piper. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
