He is survived by: his siblings, James Hembree, Carlene Christopher and Margaret Madewell; his nephew John Christopher; his nieces, Angela McClaine (Terry), Katherine Adkins (Bobby) and Vivian Christopher; his great-niece Samantha Schmidt (Joshua); and his great-nephew Daniel McClaine (Virginia Burke).
