She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Hawkins and Blanche Marie Hawkins (English); her husband Wayne Luther Griffin; and her son Scott James Akins. She is survived by: her brother Donald Hawkins; her children, Steven John Gilpin (Laura), William Jackson Akins, Jr. (Pennie) and Cynthia Marie Livesay (Mike); and her stepsons, Scott Griffin (Jane) and Jeff Griffin. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
