It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stephen Neal Smith of Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Smith and Lola Smith; and his brother John Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kaye Parr Billings Smith; his sons, Chad Billings Smith (Leigh) and Benjamin Neal Smith (Stacy); his grandchildren, Madeline Langley Smith, Stephen Huffman Smith, Benjamin Billings Smith, Christopher David Smith, Charles West Smith and Collier Neal Smith; his siblings, Kenneth Smith (Betty), Paul Smith (Kay) and Cathy Oliver (Claude Simonton); and his sister-in-law Carolyn Smith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Covington First United Methodist Church (2105 TN-59, Covington, TN 38019). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed towards the First United Methodist Church Building fund or a charitable organization of choice.
