He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Newman and Annette Newman (Thompson); and his siblings, Gary Newton, Ronnie Newton and Della Newman Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Isome-Newman; his brother Dennis Newman of Covington; his children, Renee Bliss (Harold) of Corning Ar, Sanford Newman Jr. (Holly), Jennifer Ray (Don) of Covington Tn and Will Newman of Southaven; his grandchildren, Alexis, Brady, Lindsay, Noah, Maegan and Lennon; and his great grandchildren, Jaxxon, Charlotte and Stella.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Jackson Hughey.
