He was predeceased by: his parents, John Martin and Mary Elizabeth Weaver Erb; and his daughter Helen Denise DeFreese. He is survived by: his fiancée Donna Bertram; his children, John Henry Erb, Jr., Bethany Erb (Dave), Charles Golightly (Krista) and Missy Smith (Kim); and his son-in-law Brian DeFreese. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
