We bid farewell to Janie Scott of Covington, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 12, 2024 at the age of 61. Janie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Erskin Scott and Betty Scott; her son Nathan Hamlet; her brothers, Danny "Boone" Scott, Ted Scott, Robert "Redbone" Scott and Rickey Dale Scott; and her great grandchild Dover Collins.
She is survived by: her close friend Larry Newman; her sons, Kevin Hutcherson and Brandon "B. J." Hutcherson; her brother E. V. Scott; her grandchildren, Stephanie Collins (Joseph), Samantha Hutcherson, Kevin Hutcherson, Jr., B. J. Hutcherson, Jr., Hailey Nicole Grooms, Kaylee Hamlet and Eli Hamlet; and her great grandchildren, Colton Collins and Reagan Collins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019).
