He is survived by: his parent Lois Hickerson Melson; his children, Amanda Melson of Savannah, James Ricky Melson, Jr. of Corinth, Sarah Johnson of Corinth, Shannon Campbell of Guntown and Miranda Pettigo of Boonville, Mississippi; and his siblings, Cathy Oliver, Wanda Grimes and Donnie Melson of Counce.
