He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Etta Davis Akers and Ray Akers; and his brother Tommy Akers. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lewellyng Akers; his son Craig Neil Akers of Cottage Grove; his brothers, Bennie Akers (Betty) of Paris and J. W. "Jub" Akers (Carolyn) of Cottage Grove; his niece Donna Bowers; and his nephews, John Akers, David Akers and Michael Akers.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
