She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Byler and Ida Byler; and her sister Rhoda Brenneman (Paul). She is survived by: her children, Julie (Billy Black) and Jacob (Sierra Tucker); her grandchildren, Isaiah, Chloe, Sophia and Haley; and her siblings, David (Mary), Paul (Darlene), Lester (Jean), Mary Jane Schrock (Ben), Ruth Ann, Barbara Wagler (Menno) and Martha Byler (John).
She began caregiving when she was in her mid-twenties; taking care of her maternal grandmother, who had Alzheimer's, until her death in 1994.
