He is survived by: his children, Brian McMahan of Michigan, Rowena Black of Hartford, Charles Woodrow Black of Newport and Beth Goad of North Carolina; his former wife Patsy Black of Newport; his son-in-law Jamie Freshour of Hartford; his sisters, Leola Baker of High Point and Lisa Frisbee of Hartford; and his grandchildren, Ashley White, Haylee White, Zachary McMahan, Hunter McMahan, Keira Hatcher, Clairissa Freshour and Tiffany Presley.
