With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Caughron (Cosby, Tennessee), who passed away on October 16, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thad Garver; her daughters, Sandra Garver and Shirley Lightner; and her grandson Daryl Jenkins. She is survived by: her daughters, Helen Steele of Ohio, Nancy Howell (Gary) of Ohio, Tammye Allen (Dean) of Ohio and Roella Linebarger (Allan); her grandchildren, Ronnie Allen (Carrie), Rechele Surrett (Steve), Christopher Lightner (Amber), Tina James (Ralph), Carrie Uzak (Brian), Gary Jr. Howell (Terri), Bobby Allen (Sarah), Gary L. Allen (Amanda) and Wendy Conner (Kip); her great grandchildren, Rachel, Robin, Rebecca, Michael, Stevie, Kitty, Hannah, Jayden, Garrett, Bryce, Caleigh, Ashtyn, Maxx, Benji, Trevor and Maverick; her brother-in-law Lem Garver (Tank); and her nieces and nephews, Tammy Ford, Benji Evans, Tony Phillips, Fonda Phillips, Wilsonville Baptist Church, Jamie Valentine, Linda Jones and Steve Costner.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Wilsonville Baptist Church.
