Peggy Proffitt, age 68, of Cosby, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Randall Proffitt; son, Steven Proffitt; mother and stepfather, Eula Mae Jenkins and Ellis Jenkins; father Roy McGaha; sister, Rhonda Green; Brother, Carl McGaha.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and James Large; grandchildren, Tristan and April Proffitt, Brad and Madii Williams, Tim Proffitt, Jordan Large and Megan and Zach Worex; great-grandchildren, Bradlee and Tinzlee Proffitt, Dallas Williams, Bentley Large and Brayden Worex; brothers, Tommy McGaha and Terry McGaha; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bob Valentine, Debbie and Tim Hall, Vicky and Robert Hall and Pam Benson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Norma Proffitt, Elaine Gunter and Pam Proffitt; many nieces and nephews and friend, Jackie Lux; many honorary grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A service will not be held at this time, but a "Celebration of Her Life" will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Manes Funeral Home.
