He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hale Rynes; his sister Joyce Wright (Lee) of Castlewood, Virginia; his aunt Madeline McCoy of Castlewood, Virginia; his nephew Mark Wright; and his niece Samantha Adkins.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for James "Jim" Rynes" will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. Friday, October 23, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Jim Pratt officiating.
