He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Rebecca Barnes; his grandson Alexander Barnes; his parents, Jim Barnes and Mattie Barnes; his sister Shirley Campbell; and his father-in-law Earnest.
He is survived by: his children, James Barnes (Becca), Christy Barnes, Rebecca Alford (Geoff) and Jason Barnes (Whitney); his grandchildren, Koda, Marshell, Noah Alford, Ambriel and Jase Barnes; his siblings, Sue Coakley (Don) and Billy Barnes (Cindy) of Newport; his niece Lisa Campbell Black; and his nephew William "Petey" Barnes.
The family will welcome and appreciate visits from friends when all danger of the Corona Virus has passed.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Costner-Maloy Funeral Home to help cover the final expense.
