With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Proffitt Gunter of Cosby, Tennessee, who passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Gunter; her parents, Charles Proffitt and Mabel Denton Proffitt; her siblings, Pam Proffitt and Randy Proffitt; her sisters-in-law, Peggy and Norma Proffitt; and her nephews, Steve Proffitt and Keith Proffitt.
She is survived by: her children, Lance Gunter and Stacy Gunter (Bryan Pickering); her brother Jimmie Proffitt; her nieces and nephews, Sandy Large, Tammie Baugher (Robert), Larry Proffitt (Lori) and Jerry Proffitt (Diane); her uncle Roy Milton Proffitt; her aunt Joyce Denton; and her cousins, Phyllis Denton and Janice White. She is also survived by great nieces & nephews, several other cousins, friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Manes Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
