He was predeceased by: his parents, Tilda B. Tapp Rogers and Asie V. Rogers. He is survived by: his sister Linda G. Rogers; his brother-in-law Teddy Lister; his brother Terry J. Rogers; his sister-in-law Becky Rogers; his aunt Edna West; and his close friends, Steve Mynatt, Charles McMahan, Paul Rutherford, Terry Tindell and Tom Hackney. He is also survived by four nieces, two nephews, seven great-nieces, fourteen great nephews, two great-great nieces and three great-great nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church (8518 Thompson School Rd, Corryton, TN 37721).
