He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Mitchell and Sampson Mitchell; and his siblings, Shirley Patty, Wanda Cherry and George Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Mitchell; his daughters, Gena Rayho (Jerry), Tiffany Cardwell (Brad) and Misty Keller (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Dylan Rayho (Angie), Matt Cardwell, Sydney Rayho, MaKenna Rayho (Jacob), Kennedy Mitchell and Kylie Cardwell; and his siblings, Evelyn Dockery (Robert), Sammy Mitchell (Karen) and Marvin Mitchell.
