It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Houston Whaley of Corryton, Tennessee, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frank and Edith Whaley (Abston); his sister Sheri Hill; his parents-in-law, David, Ella Jones and Gordon Cox (Wanda); and his brothers-in-law, Duane Hill, Gary Jones, Ernest Smith and Robert Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean Whaley (Jones); his children, Brian Whaley (Melissa) of Clarksville, TN and Anne-Marie Wright (Jim Ed) of Forney, TX.; his grandchildren, Logan Wright (Laura), Morgan Whaley, Devin Wright and Brennan Whaley; his brothers, Paul Whaley (Nancy), Jimmy Whaley (Kaye), Kenny Whaley (Rei) and Phil Whaley; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Smith and Sue Jones.
Due to Covid restrictions and respect for family wishes, face masks are required for every event.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Washington Presbyterian Church building fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or Victory Junction.
