It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen M. Atkins (Corryton, Tennessee), who passed away on August 19, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Lawrence Gene Atkins; her parents, Robert Spires and Biddie Spires; her siblings, Lon Spires, Gertrude, Jesse Perkey, Jessie Mae, Hal Huffaker, Gladys and Berlin Garrett; and also Ruth Spires.
She is survived by: her sons, Gail Atkins, David Atkins (Duck), Mike Atkins and Monica Bailey; her brothers, Raymond, Aurelia Spires, Wayne and Tommy Spires; her daughters-in-law, Christine, Parker, Tammy Atkins and Debbie Griffith; and her brother-in-law Bill Lawson. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
